    Hastelloy C276 is the most widely used nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. Nickel is a high-strength ductile metal, with excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Molybdenum (Mo) is added to refine the grain size. It enhances creep resistance and high temperature strength. It also improves resistance to pitting corrosion in severe services. Chromium dramatically improves the performance of abrasion and wear resistance as well as improves resistance to high temperature hydrogen attack and graphitization.
