Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) Seamless Pipes
1. General introduction to Inconel 625 seamless pipes
HBMetals is a professional manufacturer of cold-drawn Inconel Alloy 625 seamless pipes in accordance with ASTM B444. Inconel 625 (UNS N06625) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium alloy which has high strength in high temperature and excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The chemical composition requirements and physical properties of Inconel 625 are the same for all product forms. But its mechanical properties differ from each other depending on different product forms and conditions.
The Inconel 625 (UNS N06625) seamless pipes are furnished in two grades of different heat-treated conditions: 1) Grade 1 (annealed) - The inconel 625 seamless pipe in this condition is normally employed in service temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). 2) Grade 2 (solution annealed) - The Inconel seamless pipe in this condition is normally employed in service temperatures above 1100°F (593°C) when resistance to creep and rupture is required. The size and wall thickness of Inconel 625 seamless pipes shall be in accordance with ASME B36.19.

3. Tests for Inconel 625 seamless pipes
The chemical analysis and tension test shall be conducted for each heat-number lot. Hydrostatic test or nondestructive test shall also be carried out for each piece of the nickel alloy pipe in accordance with ASTM B829. The allowance fiber stress for UNS N06625 seamless pipe is as follows: 1) Grade 1 - 30000 psi (207 MPa). 2) Grade 2 - 25000 psi (172 MPa). Nondestructive tests refer to eddy current test according to ASTM E 571 and ultrasonic test according to ASTM E 213.
4. Delivery conditions and finishes of Alloy 625 seamless pipes
1) Cold-drawn, annealed or solution annealed with ground outside diameter - The inside diameter may have a bright finish when material is annealed or solution annealed in a protective atmosphere; otherwise the inside diameter is supplied decaled as necessary.
2) Cold-drawn, annealed, or solution annealed, pickled(not ground) - Outside and inside diameter will have dull, matte(pickled) surfaces.
