Cast Iron Globe Valve

Specification of Cast Iron Globe Valves:

1. Brief Introduction:

    The globe valve is a closing-down valve in which the closure member(often called disc) is moved

    squarely on and off the seat. By this mode of disc tavel, the seat opening varies in direct proportion

    to the travel of the disc. This proportional relationship between valve opening and disc travel is ideally

    suited for duties involving regulation of flow rate.

2. Material Specification:

    Body & Bonnet: Cast Iron or Ductile Iron

    Wedge: Ductile Iron, or Ductile Iron coated with brass

    Stem: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or Bronze

    Wheel: Cast Iron, Ductile Iron

    Yoke Nut: Ductile Iron or Bronze
